Returns Policy

Warranty Repair/Replacement

Most manufacturers provide a one-year warranty on hardware products. If you believe your product may be defective, the manufacturer web site will maintain an RMA process for repair or replacement. This is the fastest method for you to get warranty service.

Amazon or Affiliate RMA Procedure

Products purchased through Amazon must be returned via the Amazon return procedure. Products purchased through any other affiliate must be returned via return procedure provided by the affiliate.

Hardware Returns

Please note: We can only accept hardware products for return within 15 days of the receipt date.

New unopened products that are not special order items may be returned for a full refund of the product price. Special order items and items which are incomplete, damaged or defaced are not returnable. Defective merchandise may be exchanged for the same item. A non-defective return must include the original product box, the product, all cable(s), paperwork/manuals, cdroms and any other accessories provided with the product. Non-defective product returns are subject to a 15% restock fee.

Boxed Software

Please note: We can only accept unopened boxed software products for return within 15 days of the receipt date.

Opened boxed software products may not be returned. Defective merchandise may be exchanged for the same item.

Downloaded Software with an Evaluation/Demo

Please note: Downloaded Software that has a test drive or demo on our web site,, are not eligible for refund.

Visible Light RMA Procedure

An RMA number must accompany all returned products. We do not accept returns without an RMA. To request an RMA number, please contact the Visible Light Sales Department at +1.407.327.5700 or complete the form on the Contact Us page. Please provide the following information:

  • Full name of purchaser
  • Email address used to place the order
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Condition of the product - opened or unopened?
  • Reason for returning the product

When an RMA number is issued, place the complete product in another box, so the original product box is not defaced by any packaging materials. Please use a shipping company that can track packages, such as UPS or FedEx. We are not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise. When your return is received and processed, with testing for open box hardware. We may credit your account or ship you a replacement of your product. If the product was purchased by a credit card, any credit to your account will appear on your credit card statement as Visible Light. For those paying via check or bank transfer, a check will be mailed to you. Credits usually require 2-3 weeks to process after an RMA has been received.
